Frequently Asked Questions
Will I receive a new Visa credit card? Yes! If you currently have an active Woodstone credit card, a new Qualstar Visa Gold card will be sent to you and any other active cardholders on the same account in early to mid-September.
When should I activate my new Visa Gold card? Please activate and begin using your card on September 24, 2018.
Will my old card continue to work? Your old Woodstone card should continue to work until it expires; however, we encourage you to activate and begin enjoying the benefits of your new Qualstar Visa Gold card starting September 24th.
Will my PIN remain the same? You will receive a new PIN for your new Visa Gold card, mailed separately. If you continue to use your Woodstone card, the PIN number will remain the same.
What is the new payment mailing address? You can use the below payment address effective immediately. For payments coming from another financial institution or bill payer service, please be sure to change your payment address before the next due date to:

How can I make my Visa Gold card payments? You have several options:
- Set up recurring automatic transfers from your Qualstar savings or checking in Home Banking (not currently available in Mobile Banking.)
- Transfer a one-time payment from your Qualstar savings or checking in Mobile or Home Banking.
- Set up Other Bank transfers to your Visa Gold card in Home Banking—call us to enroll for transfers to other financial institutions.
- Call us to set up a recurring Direct Payment from another financial institution.
- Use a bill payer service from another financial institution to make your payment – be sure to use the new payment mailing address above.
- Make a payment in person at one of our seven (7) branch locations or send it to the mailing address above.
Can I see my Visa Gold card in Qualstar’s Mobile and/or Home Banking? After September 21st, your Visa Gold card will be listed along with your other Qualstar accounts in Mobile and Home Banking —you will not have to go to a separate site to view your credit card activity or make payments.
Will this be reported as a new loan on my credit report? This will not be reported as a new loan. It will be shown as a transfer between lenders on your credit report.
What benefits will come with my new Qualstar Visa Gold card? You will have access to enhanced purchase benefits such as Roadside Dispatch, Travel Accident Insurance, Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver, Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption, Purchase Security/Warranty Manager Service, and Travel & Emergency Assistance Services. Please refer to the Visa benefits brochure included with your new card mailed in September for complete details and coverage guidelines.
What additional features come with my new Visa Gold card? All Qualstar Visa Gold cards come with the Passport instant savings benefit – you will have access to savings on anything from dry cleaning and fine dining to auto repairs and travel. Simply use your Visa Gold card to pay at participating merchants and the savings are included in your bill. You can view all participating merchants at qualstar.passportlifestyle.com. In addition to Passport, your Visa Gold card features:
- NO annual fee
- NO fees for balance transfers
- Same interest rate for purchases, balance transfers and cash advances
- And 1% CASH BACK on balance transfers from your other high rate cards1

What if I have auto payments or “saved” cards with other merchants online? You will need to update those merchants with your new Qualstar Visa Gold card number when you receive your card in September.
How can I receive eStatements? If you are already signed up to receive eStatements on your Qualstar account, you will automatically have access to all Visa statements electronically— your first Qualstar Visa eStatement will be available in October (please refer to the enclosed letter for statement and payment due date info.) When your statement is ready, you will receive an email notification when it is available to view in Mobile and Home Banking.
If you currently receive paper statements, and would like to sign up for eStatements, please log-in to Qualstar Home Banking at www.qualstarcu.com, click on the “eStatements” tab and follow the steps (you may receive one subsequent paper statement, depending on the date your enroll.)
Can I view my past Woodstone credit card statements in Qualstar’s Mobile or Home Banking? We are working on getting them added and you will receive an email once they are available to view. You will be able to access up to 24 months of activity in Mobile and Home Banking.
