Mortgage Assistance Resources

If you find yourself in a situation where you are unable to afford your Qualstar mortgage or home equity payments, we can assist you with finding solutions, depending on the type of loan you have.
- Mortgage Refinance – May allow to replace your current mortgage with a new loan with new terms.
- Mortgage Modification – Changes the terms of your existing loan.
- Forbearance plan - Temporarily suspends or reduces your mortgage payment until your hardship is over. Typically after this plan ends, we will discuss other options that may include Repayment or Modification.
- Repayment plan – Pay past-due amounts over several months.
- Selling - Selling a home with equity is an option if you have financial hardship and can no longer afford the home and can be an alternative to foreclosure.
- Other non-retention options:
- Short Sale - Home sold for less than remaining mortgage balance.
- Mortgage Release – Transferring property ownership and financial responsibility.
